A glimpse of Summer

Summertime...at first it takes me awhile to adjust to us all being together throughout the day. Then just about this time we all settle in a pattern and now I am sad that school is getting closer and closer. Riley and Brian hit the mountains for Boy Scout camp this weekend. Both had such a great time. Seems as the bears like Boy Scout camp a lot too. As you can see Miss Brianna has become a fish this summer and what a cutie Andy is with his goggles! As for Miss Katie well I have to say she likes the great indoors more than the outdoors but likes the water table and sidewalk chalk the best. It has been so busy and we have all had our moments. They are all growing so much and our little ones will be 3 soon. I have been informed not to call them "babies" anymore as they are not babies. True enough...but I say until we are all wearing underwear there are some babies around! Enjoy the pictures!

Brianna and Grandma

Our little lady

Happy Birthday Brianna

Miss Brianna is 5 years old today! She is a very special little lady in our house. She is so very loving and is always there for a hug. She is the leader of the girl pack at our house and very motherly to the little ones. She had her first sleepover last night. She sure is tired today but they had a good time. Brianna has great connections with people and warms their hearts. We are so lucky to have her and feel blessed for all the days we have had with her and pray for many more. Happy Birthday my sweet Brianna...how many memories come back as your Mom 5 years also when they placed that little sweet girl in my arms!

Fathers Day and Surgery

Oh my gosh is it truly June 25th. I meant to post on Fathers Day but today will work also. Father's day was nice and good day for the kids to acknowledge all Brian does for them. Sometimes he is so behind the scenes at work but we have so much to be grateful for. He is a wonderful father, husband, and person. He is the rock and glue that holds us all not so calm people together. We found an activity to do that all 6 of us can participate in! Miniature golf it is. It is funny to watch the little ones golf but they are so cute. So that was our big father's day outing.

Andy has surgery for a circumcision on Monday. A controversial surgery even in this house. My poor baby was very sore and just laid around. So not like him. Today after 3 days he is doing better and acting more like our Andy. I am grateful for that as to see him in more pain just about kills me. My mind is on overload to think about how much he has gone through...now we hope for peace with his body for a long time!

Andrew - Gotcha Day one year later

In china-Cherrios Won him over, and look at him now our big boy!

It has be a year since our Gotcha Day of our dear little boy. Where did that year go and how has he changed. In so many ways he doesn't even look like the boy we brought home but that shining personality is the same. He has the most outgoing personality I have ever meet and just loves people. Was this coping skills in the orphanage or just Andy. A little of both we believe. He was loved in China and our hearts always go back to the people who loved him there. What would they say now. Andy loves to play with all his heart and soul. He loves to bounce, jump, and run all hours of the day. He has learned that vegetables are a battle between Mom and him:), and that a cookie is a fine treat. He loves the water, snow and all in between. He has no fears while his Mom must face hers with him! I am amazed with him and who he is. A year ago I waited up all night for Brian or my parents to call and tell me about our son. I was so sad to not be there to see him for the first time. Now I get to kiss him as much as I want, if I can catch him:). God is good. The path to Andy was not always easy but he knew he needed us and we needed him. It has been an awesome year. We have our problems, just as any family, but at the end of the day we are so blessed with children. Mr Andrew has changed us all and I can not imagine my life without him! Happy Family Day Andrew we love you so!
